The Des Moines Pool Metropolitan Pool District (The District) continually builds a high-quality workforce, fosters a positive work culture and promotes a learning environment. Training and certifications are available to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service to our District and surrounding communities

The District was formed in December 2009 as a new municipal corporation. Its purpose is to operate the Mt. Rainier Swimming Pool in Des Moines WA. Currently the District is reconditioning the Mount Rainier Pool, taking over management of the pool, and conducting an Aquatic Feasibility Study exploring options including a Community Recreation Center.
