Effective Sunday, January 2nd, the Mount Rainier Pool will be switching to its updated rates. The new rates will combine family/open swim and lap swim into one structure. We have also setup special swimmer to allow reduced rates for these groups. Finally we also now accept Renew Active by United Healthcare.
SPECIAL SWIMMER RATE: This reduced rate includes active military, veterans, disabled swimmers and teachers. Proof may be required for some discounts.
RESIDENT RATE: The Resident Discount Rate for residents of Des Moines and Normandy Park will continue to be accepted. Both communities pay taxes to support the Mount Rainier Pool.
WATER EXERCISE RATE CHANGE: A flat rate for all participants is now offered for all water exercise participants. Participants can also elect to utilize insurance memberships (see below).
INFLATION: Some programs including swim lessons have been increased due to inflation. Participants can take advantage of our scholarships that are available to all eligible participants. In 2021, around $11,000 in scholarships have been distributed. For more information on scholarships, click here.
WEBSITE CHANGE: The fees webpage will be updated to reflect the new rates on Saturday, January 1.
