The Mount Rainier Pool will have a critical pool closure schedule from Thursday, March 28, through Saturday, March 30. The pool will re-open on Monday, April 1, with a new Spring schedule.
SWIM LESSONS
No swim lesson classes on Saturday, March 30. No classes were scheduled for this date due to the Federal Way and Highline School District’s Spring Break and Easter weekend. Classes will resume on Saturday, April 6. This is one reason why we chose this weekend for repairs.

The next, updated schedule will take effect on Monday, April 1. We will send out the updated schedule later this week.
WHY?
The Mount Rainier Pool is approaching 50 years old (est.1975), and some of its equipment shows its age. From time to time, there is a need for critical repairs. The pool pump ensures good circulation of fresh water to the pool, which is also heated. During the repairs, the pool temperature drops below acceptable levels. We usually need another day after the repairs are completed for the water to be treated appropriately and heated to acceptable temperatures for swimming.
