Dear Valued Patron,
Are you or your young adult looking for something to do this summer that not only can further your career ambitions but have a meaningful impact on the lives of kids in our community? Lifeguarding and swim instructing are summer jobs that change you; when you realize you’re doing something bigger than yourself. Swimming is an essential life skill that helps keep kids safe. But studies also show it has a tremendous effect on a child’s academic performance and opens a lifetime of recreational and career opportunities. With support from the Des Moines Legacy Foundation, Mount Rainier Pool is offering FREE training for lifeguards and swim instructors. Both positions are a great way to gain work experience and develop marketable career skills while helping your community. They are a great way to work around your academic and extracurricular activities. See Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Certification at Bottom of this page.
